Manager of Leasing and Staff

Joseph McCluskey-120x240

Joseph McCluskey heads up the expanding Heritage Realty Services LLC. Sales and Leasing division. Centered on the core strength of the portfolio of Heritage managed properties, he is developing the group of experienced professionals into a team capable of providing all real estate services for investors and tenants seeking to secure opportunities anywhere within the New York metro area.

Joseph is a 35 year veteran of the New York City commercial real estate industry. He spent over twenty years with Helmsley-Spear where he negotiated the sales of dozens of investment properties and leases for hundreds of commercial spaces. At Helmsley, he supervised the leasing and management of over 2,500,000 square feet of office space.

Joseph's most notable achievement was the $305 million sale of 12 East 49th Street (Tower 49) to the Kato Kagaku Corp, which at $500 per-square-foot was the highest price ever paid for a Manhattan office building at the time.

Joseph was awarded the coveted "Robert T. Lawrence Award" by the Real Estate Board of New York for the transaction of the retail condo sale of the "Ritz Tower" at 465 Park Avenue, corner of East 57th Street. He has also served as Chairman of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association and received its prestigious "Young Man of the Year" award.

He was both Chairman and President of the 23rd Street Association, a chamber of Commerce organization promoting business interests of the 23rd Street corridor. Here he initiated steps to improve Madison Square Park through both private and public funding and transformed the once decrepit park into what the New York Times has rated one of the city's best.

Joseph acted as Transportation Committee Chairman of Manhattan Community Board Five which covers the core Midtown area. This committee provides review, oversight and approval of all proposed changes to the streets, sidewalks and mass-transit facilities at the heart of New York's critical economic core.
