Bikes are the ultimate green trip: all pedal power while burning calories and leaving only a rubber footprint.

Bike riding Gannett Office Park owner George Constantin of Heritage Realty Services is encouraging the trend by creating glass covered dedicated parking spots for commuters' bicycles. They will be placed near the entrance to the buildings health club's showers.

"We are trying to be proactive and anticipate the needs of people," Constantin said of the low-rise buildings off the Platinum Mile/1287 corridor in White Plains.

"Once we got the health club on board it was a no brainer."
