George T. Constantin
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
George T. Constantin brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience to his role as founder and chief executive officer of Heritage Realty Services, LLC or “Heritage”. Since founding the boutique commercial real estate firm in 2005, Mr. Constantin has grown the privately held Heritage to include more than $400 million in assets, with properties throughout New York City, Westchester, Connecticut, and Washington, DC. He has been responsible for more than 485,000 square feet in transactions since the company’s inception four years ago.
Under Mr. Constantin’s guidance, the Heritage team provides long-term strategic asset management services, including property management, leasing, development, finance, construction, and disposition services, as well as the acquisition of well-priced and well-located properties, including:

420 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan:Full-block Class A multi-level retail condominium with 74,000-square-foot front retail space in a 609,000-square-foot office building between 37th and 38th Streets.
2 and 4 Gannett Drive, White Plains, N.Y.:The former headquarters of Pepsi Co., the two Class A office buildings total 240,000 square feet in a park-like setting. Mr. Constantin and Heritage added significant value through a rebranding campaign, capital improvements and the addition of exclusive amenities. The renovation resulted in tenant retention exceeding 90 percent.
3 Gannett Drive, White Plains, N.Y.:The Class A office building of approximately 175,000 square feet complements and enhances the overall asset value of Gannett Office Park and is 100 percent occupied, in majority by Wilson Elser, one of the nation’s top-100 law firms, and WestFair, the local Westchester Fairfield Counties Business Weekly Newspaper.
Prior to founding Heritage, Mr. Constantin was managing director of the Institutional Realty Advisory Group of Helmsley-Spear Inc. During his 20-year tenure at Helmsley-Spear, Mr. Constantin’s real estate advisory and investment services focused on profit-oriented management, leasing, marketing, and acquisition and sales programs for commercial properties owned by his investor groups and clients. Mr. Constantin’s portfolio of clients included domestic and foreign investors, multi-national corporations and financial institutions.
At Helmsley-Spear, Mr. Constantin was instrumental in the repositioning and disposition of properties including:
205-215 Lexington Avenue:Repositioning and disposition of the 330,000-square-foot office building on behalf of Caisse National de Credit Agricole. The project was sold to Jeshiva University in 1999, and the five-year program included extensive renovations and modernization, the leasing of more than 250,000 square feet and the successful disposition of the asset.
59 John Street:Repositioning and disposition of the 90,000-square-foot office building on behalf of Maryland Casualty Co., a member of the Zurich Insurance Group. The project commenced in 1996 and was sold in 1999. The program included renovations, lease up and creating value in a land lease. Mr. Constantin co-represented Zurich on its 200,000-square-foot lease extension at 1 Liberty in August 2001.
380 Second Avenue:The repositioning and stabilization of the 200,000-square-foot office building. Mr. Constantin, under the tutelage of Helmsley executive, secured two full floors for Beth Israel and developed the property into a medical specialties building. He secured additional leases totaling 350,000 square feet for Beth Israel Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases.
Before joining Helmsley-Spear, Mr. Constantin served as vice president of Hospitality Consultants, Inc, where he coordinated the acquisition, development and financial evaluation of hotels, restaurants and mixed-use real estate investments throughout Florida and Texas.
Former New York State Governor George E. Pataki appointed Mr. Constantin to the New York State Real Estate Board in September 2002, where he served on several committees, including Anti-Trust, Education and Brokerage untill 2009. Mr. Constantin is an active member of various real estate organizations, including Buildings Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), for which he is a frequent guest speaker, and the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
Mr. Constantin is fluent in Greek, German and Spanish and is conversational in French. He is a long-term member of the Board of Directors and serves as vice president and executive officer of the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce, the oldest and foremost economic and political organization of the Greek-American Business Community in the United States. He also serves as chairman of the Chamber’s Real Estate Committee and hosts yearly speaker forums that have included some of the most notable names in real estate.
Educated at Syracuse University and the New York University Real Estate Institute, Mr. Constantin resides in Westchester County, N.Y. with his wife and two children. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of his Parish, the Church of Our Saviour in Rye, N.Y., and he is active in many philanthropic causes.
